You’re invited to attend this year’s Valley Wide Employment EXPO where you will have the opportunity to explore many employment opportunities, and to apply for jobs with over a hundred different employers from the Coachella Valley and Riverside areas.
Admission and parking to the EXPO are completely FREE and open to the general public. Application assistance will be available. Computers with Internet access will be available for completing on-line applications.
Tips for success at the EXPO
1. Arrive Early! Before 8:30 am is recommended.
2. Have a plan. Check the web-site often to see which employers will be participating and what positions are available. Make a list of those employers you want to meet and visit their booths first.
3. Bring your employment history information, references, Driver’s License or ID, and social security card.
4. Bring your resume or complete a Generic Employment Application. Download in .pdf or word .doc.
5. Wear professional attire! You may be interviewed on the spot.
6. Please do not bring children. The EXPO will be crowded, and attending with children may prevent you from applying or interviewing.
7. Apply on line before the EXPO with companies that you know only accept on-line applications.
8. Bring your POSITIVE ATTITUDE!

Tips for making that great first impression.
DO:
- Dress professionally
- Men - Suits, dress pants and shirts, ties, polo shirts, dress shoes
- Women - Business suits, dresses, skirts and blouses, dress slacks, dress shoes
- Wear clean and pressed clothing
- Turn off your cell phone
AVOID:
- Heavy cologne or perfume
- Heavy make-up
- Excessive jewelry
- Facial piercings
- Multiple tattoos (cover them up)
- Chewing gum
- Hats, baseball caps or bandanas
- Shorts, flip-flops, workout attire, or tank tops and spaghetti straps are not appropriate for job seeking.
