EMPLOYER FAQ’s *

1) Where do I mail a check?

Make the check payable to: Valley Wide Employment Expo

Mail the check to: PO Box 890, Indio, CA 92202   -Your space will be reserved once payment is received.

2) Can I pay the day of the event?

We recommend that you pay in advance in order to guarantee a space. Also, if you would like to take advantage of the Early Bird registration discount, payment must be received by 08/31/2017. Space will not be guaranteed until payment is received.

3) What is your Cancellation and Refund policy?

Please notify us as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the Expo. No refunds will be authorized for cancellations received after – 08/31/2017. We appreciate you letting us know you will not attend the Expo. By notifying us, you will remain a Priority Employer for future Expos.

4) When will I receive my space assignment?

At confirmation of payment, your company’s space will be reserved. However, you will receive your space location, table tent, and name tag(s) at the employer registration desk when you set up – either the day before event or day of event.

5) When do I receive my check-in instructions?

Check-in instructions will be emailed to the contact person who registered for the expo one week before the EXPO event. A parking pass is not required.

6) When can I set up my space?

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to set up the day before the Expo,  September 13, 2017. Exhibitors can also set up the morning of the event September 14, 2017 7:00am-8:30am.

7) What should I bring with me to the Expo event?

Make sure to bring applications or materials to be handed out (estimated job seeker attendance 1,000+). You may also give away brochures, promotional items, pens, note pads, small wrapped candy, etc. No helium balloons are allowed. For hanging signage, please bring tape, hooks, or .

8) Can I break down my booth before the Expo ends at 1:00pm?

Our EMPLOYER RAFFLE IS HELD AT 1:00 P.M. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

Job seekers rely on employers being there until the Expo ends. Some job seekers are unable to make it in the morning and they count on having until 1:00pm to network and meet the employers. Please make the necessary arrangements with your staff so that your booth is covered until 1:00pm.

9) Is free electricity provided?

Yes, please let us know you will need electricity by calling (760)863-2965 at least one week in advance. Outlets are available but please bring your own extension cords as outlets may not be directly inside booth. The facility DOES NOT provide extension cords.

10) Is Wi-fi available?

Yes, Wi-fi will be available for employers

11) Is food provided to the employers before the Expo?

Yes! Employer-exhibitors are invited to join us for Continental Breakfast from 7:00am -9:00am the morning of the Expo. This is a great networking opportunity. There will also be a brief opening ceremony at 8:40am.
